Going out to eat with the entire family has recently become somewhat of a luxury. With the economy at a downfall, it is difficult to spend a lot of money for a meal out. One way to help make the experience more affordable is to look for restaurants in the Denver area that offer free meals for kids.

Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli in Parker, CO is an excellent choice for “kids eat free” deals. Not only do they offer the deal, but they offer it Monday through Thursday. Heidi’s is the perfect choice for a light meal out with the family. They offer deli sandwiches, soup and fresh baked bread.

Another great choice for “kids eat free” deals is RIO Grande Mexican is Lone Tree. The deal is available from 4-10pm every night. The Mexican cuisine has everything from toasted quesadillas to open-faced tacos. It is a great choice for eating out on a budget.

To give your kids an ethnic cuisine experience, take them to Bombay Bowl in Centennial. All day on Saturday and Sunday, kids under 12 eat free with the purchase of an adult entree. Your kids will be able to experience fresh, Indian food, and you’ll be able to save some money.

The Denver area has many different restaurants that offer “kids eat free” deals. So instead of putting a hole in your wallet, choose one of these restaurants and enjoy your families dining out experience.

Before entrusting a daycare with your precious child, start by asking friends and family you trust for daycare recommendations. Once you have a few to investigate, make sure that the daycare has been approved with a state daycare license. The license will ensure that the provider underwent a background check and the facility has been investigated. The state will require providers to feed children meals and snacks, but the menu is up to the provider. So ask the provider for a sample week menu. Look for a daycare that provides structured age-appropriate crafts and playtime. Determine how much of the time a television will be on and whether or not the t.v. is used for adult shows, news, or talk shows while children are there. A daycare that cleans toys after children put their mouth on them is desirable. Visit the daycare without your child first and see if the children look happy. Visit with your child as a second interview before deciding.
Ask for the name of parents who also use the particular provider who would be willing to be a reference. Confirm with the reference that all the answers in the interview are the same as the provider.

Living alone in Denver doesn’t have to be scary – it’s a relatively safe metropolitan area and there are things you can do to feel more protected when you’re home alone. Take some tips from us on staying safe when you’re a single woman in Denver
Lock Up Your House: The first thing to do is protect your house as best you can – this means changing the locks from previous owners and looking into Security Choice Denver for an alarm. No matter what you do you’ll feel better knowing you’re thinking safe.
Take Some Classes: Self-defense classes are not only a great way to learn something new but they’re also pretty empowering, too. Take one with your other single friends and feel better about being able to control your body and defending yourself if the need arises.
Get a Dog: It may sound simple but dogs are an easy way to scare off intruders and feel safer in your own home. It doesn’t have to be a Doberman, a small yippy dog will do the trick, too, if all you need is someone to keep guard.

There are a number of fun activities to do with kids during the summer time that you can take advantage of. Not only will they be occupied, but they will have fun enjoying these activities with you. Pass the time while having fun in the sun before school comes back.
The sprinkler is one of the best places to start when you want to do something fun in the sun. Just make sure to put on the sun block, and you’re set to have a wonderful time in cool refreshing water.
Sand crafts are great to do on a warm day. The sand will not get everywhere in the house, and you can enjoy the outdoors while also making some of the most beautiful sand jewelry, picture frames, or other types of sand art.
Build bird houses together. They can be purchased in kits to make it easier. You can bring them outside, assemble them together, and make sure to paint them to give them your own added touch. Buy a little bird seed, and watch the birds as they come and enjoy what you have made them.
Chalk is another great outdoor activity that can be done together. Draw funny pictures on the driveway and sidewalks together. You can then take pictures of them to save before the rain comes and washes them all away.

Balancing work and family can be hard especially when one works odd hours or the two adults work different shifts. However with a little care and planning a successful schedule can be created so that everyone in the family can get an opportunity to enjoy each other. Here are some general tips on how to balance work and family:

Synchronize Sleeping Times: Sleeping times of all family members should be synchronized as best as possible. Everyone should nap or rest at the same times on a daily basis. This will ensure that everyone in the household is well rested and will be awake at the same time as well.

Set Aside Family Time: No matter how busy the work or schedule is, family time needs to be set aside every day. Even if it is only an hour or two during the course of a day it will maintain the family’s health and structure.

Do Things Together: Be creative and get the entire family involved in normal every day activities. These activities could be housecleaning, cooking, or even school projects and work. By getting the whole family involved you are creating additional family fun time while also getting work done!

Sometimes just getting up in the morning, getting the kids ready for school, or getting ready for work can be a real drag. Not that work and school are bad things but at times it may be difficult to get motivated in the morning. Here are a few tips to help make those morning routines a bit easier:

Get Adequate Sleep: This is perhaps the most important tip because inadequate sleep can ruin the whole day. Just getting to bed at a reasonable time and getting eight hours of sleep can make a person so much more motivated and happy in the morning. Try it once and feel the difference!

Stimulants: Having some sort of stimulant first thing in the morning is also a good way to get things jumping and on the right track. A stimulant could be something like a cup of coffee or tea, or it could be something a bit more healthy like a vitamin or some Ginseng. It’s up to you.

Motivational Music: Motivational music can also help to get through those morning routines. Music is food for the soul so if the music is motivational so is the soul that is listening to it!
